Spanning nearly three decades in the music industry, Andy has been awarded a Grammy, an Emmy, a Telly, 20 Gold and Platinum albums. He has hit #1 on multiple Billboard charts in various roles including producer, mixer and writer. His diverse career includes high-profile major label album projects, network television shows, film soundtracks, advertising, marketing campaigns and indie label releases.
Andy has created hit records with notable artists including Rod Stewart, Kelly Clarkson, Backstreet Boys, Jessica Simpson, Michael Bolton, Teddy Geiger, Clay Aiken, Natalie Imbruglia, David Guetta, Heather Headley and Diana Ross.
He received a Grammy Award for mixing Rod Stewart’s Billboard #1 Album “The Great American Songbook - Stardust.” Chosen by Clive Davis to be the mixer for Rod’s successful Songbooks Volumes 3 and 4, Andy also had the honor of mixing all the guest artists including: Stevie Wonder, Eric Clapton, Elton John, Chaka Kahn, Dolly Parton, Bette Midler, Chris Botti, Dave Koz and Arturio Sandival.
As part of the American Idol team in the early seasons, Andy recorded and mixed the show’s very first single. Kelly Clarkson’s “A Moment Like This” skyrocketed to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, breaking the Beatle’s longstanding record as the quickest climb to #1. He went on to work with Kelly on other songs including “Miss Independent” and “Since U Been Gone.”
Andy was the pop music producer for the Stephen Spielberg created NBC show “SMASH,” producing the cover songs with the show's stars Megan Hilty, Katherine McPhee, Jeremy Jordan and Tony award winners Christian Borle, Leslie Odem Jr. and Bernadette Peters. Working along with Marc Shaiman, he produced the show’s Billboard number #1 Soundtrack album.
In addition to scoring #1 on many Billboard’s charts including the Hot 100, Top 200 Albums, Soundtracks, Jazz, Adult Contemporary, and R&B charts, Andy also charted #1 as an “Artist” on Billboard’s “New Age” chart for composing 3 full instrumental albums for Target/Walmart’s “Play/Pause” nature music CD collection.
As a composer for television, Andy earned an Emmy for creating the music for FOX Sport’s “Yankees on FOX” broadcasts. Additionally, he composed the theme music for “Good Day New York,” “FOX 10 o’clock news,” “FOX 5 Live” as well as many station promos.
He has produced, written and mixed music that has appeared in television and film soundtracks and in marketing campaigns including Last Vegas, Shrek 2, MTVs The Real World, Grey’s Anatomy, The Independents Film, Dance Moms, Beauty and the Beast, Baywatch, As the World Turns, Aquamarine, Boston Public, Zathura, Amazon’s “Alpha House,” Macy’s, Green Mountain Coffee, Keurig, Timberland Boots, Vineyard Vines, General Mills, Gallo Wine, PPL Electric, Warner Music, The Yes Network and Price Waterhouse.
Andy was the studio designer and lead music mixer for the new reality TV show Songhouse Live. He set up multiple studios in a mansion full of Tik- Tok influencers live-streaming to their millions of followers. He was responsible for overseeing the entire studio technical operations and mixing all the weekly singles released through Capitol records.
During the pandemic era, Andy has become involved in a variety of corporate video and livestream projects. He has been crafting compelling immersive audio and musical soundtracks that help drive audience engagement for these new virtual events.
Most recently Andy was the music producer behind the NordicTrack TV ad campaign: “Go Somewhere New With NordicTrack”.
Andy just completed setting up a Dolby Atmos mix room and looks forward to this new exciting era of spatial audio.
